The Hailey Bieber-ification of trends knows no bounds. Anytime the Rhode founder posts wearing a new fitness accessory or sharing her beauty routine, the internet immediately turns it into the next biggest trend. Bieber just posted her latest hack, so if history repeats itself, we may all be wearing pimple patches on our feet (yes, really).
Bieber went to her Instagram to post a bird’s-eye photo of coffee and feet, accessorized with Rhode’s pimple patches. “Can confirm works for blisters,” Bieber wrote on her story, referring to the expertly placed patches. While Rhode’s pimple patches, which are made from 100 percent hydrocolloid, are designed to protect pimples, absorb excess oil, and flatten and reduce the appearance of breakouts, Bieber decided to use the power of hydrocolloid in other ways: to heal blisters on her feet.

Hydrocolloid patches are the mechanism for treating both pimples and blisters, so it makes sense that Bieber repurposed Rhode’s pimple patches. When it comes to treating blisters, hydrocolloid absorbs fluid and moisture to dry out the blister and promote healing, while also protecting the blister from dirt or germs. The gel material can also prevent excess rubbing and allow the blister to fully heal.
Bieber launched Rhode’s pimple patches — referred to as “Spotwear” on the brand’s website — earlier this year, in collaboration with her husband Justin Bieber, for his headline performance at Coachella. The couple designed a series of patch designs inspired by Justin’s songs, such as daisies, plus the Rhode “R” logo and a jelly bean, which was the flavor of a past limited-edition Lip Peptide Treatment. Next time you find your feet blister-clad, grab your pimple patches for an easy — and cute — solution.
