The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping UK Fan Screening Event

From Rosalía to Adéla and Olivia Rodrigo, all the stars are embracing ballet these days, be it through their fashion, live performances, or visuals. But when it comes to the style portion, Elle Fanning appeared to be gunning for that prima spot with her latest red-carpet look.

This afternoon in London, a screening was held for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which hits theaters on November 20. Based on Suzanne Collins’s dystopian prequel of the same name, the movie sees Fanning portray a young Effie Trinket (who was played by Elizabeth Banks in the original Hunger Games films).

Known for her eccentric, eye-popping wardrobe, Effie is one of the most stylistically arresting figures in the Hunger Games universe, thanks to her ornate gowns, artful fascinators, and colorful hairdos. So, Fanning seemingly paid tribute to her character when she showed up to the premiere in a playful look from the Robert Wun Fall/Winter 2026 haute couture collection.

The bubblegum-pink, ballet-inspired gown featured a flared midi skirt with layers of ruffled tulle, like a tutu, which morphed into a strapless corset bodice.

Over top of everything, a molded breastplate was fashioned around Fanning’s waist, with scrunchy arches and an undulating top that mirrored the shape of the dress like a skin that was peeling away.

The real showstopper, though, was Fanning’s matching pink headpiece, which would have made Miss Trinket proud. Towering above Fanning’s head, the fascinator featured a ballerina figurine balanced on a platform, with a mirror fashioned behind it, like you might find on the inside of a music box — and for a particularly snazzy trick, the attached ballerina even spun around.

Fanning completed her look with matching blush-hued heels from Aquazzura, while accessorizing with a Cartier bracelet and choker.

As the official kick-off to the Sunrise on the Reaping press tour, chances are that Fanning and her stylist, Samantha McMillen, have plenty more memorable looks in store before the film’s November release.
